Ingredients
  

Dressing

  • 4 ounce bacon
  • 2 tablespoon onion diced
  • 2 teaspoon sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • ½ teaspoon fresh dill minced
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Salad

  • 4 cup romaine lettuce Torn in pieces
  • ½ medium avocado sliced
  • 2 ounce cherry tomatoes

Instructions
 

  • Fry bacon in a large skillet over medium-low heat.
  • Once the bacon is crisp on both sides, remove from the pan to cool. Chop the bacon and set aside until you are ready to assemble your salad.
  • Using the remaining bacon fat, add the onion to the pan and cook on medium heat to caramelize.
  • To make the dressing, combine the bacon drippings and onion in a jar or bowl with the dressing ingredients.
  • Mix well to combine. The dressing will be very thick due to the bacon fat and mayo. If you prefer a thinner dressing, thin the mixture with a little more water.
  • In a large bowl, layer your salad of romaine leaves, cherry tomatoes, avocado, and bacon.
  • Drizzle with dressing and serve!
