Ingredients
  

Ribs and Marinade

  • ¼ cup soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 2 tablespoon unseasoned rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 24 ounce flanken-cut short ribs

Asian Spice Rub

  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon fresh garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon sesame seeds
  • ¼ teaspoon cardamom
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Instructions
 

  • Mix together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and fish sauce.
  • Place the short ribs in a casserole dish or other container with raised edges. Pour the marinade over the ribs and let sit for at least 45–60 minutes.
  • Combine the spice rub ingredients together.
  • Empty the marinade from the casserole dish and rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
  • Heat up the grill and grill the ribs up! Cook for about 3–5 minutes per side, depending on the thickness.
  • Serve with vegetables or side dish of choice.
